Eat a Balanced Diet to Build Muscle Mass

December 17th, 2008

I would have to say that diet has become one of the most controversial subjects in the field of bodybuilding. Many of the shifting trends and information circulating on the subject are contradictory and created by those with commercial interests in mind. Supplementation and specialized diets will not be addressed at all in this course.

There is an abundance of information available on the market for those seeking special advice. The fanaticism practiced by many of those wanting to build muscle fast is not even close to being necessary. Although supplements can be an excellent way to add essential nutrients to your diet, a balanced list of the major food groups can easily provide all of the nutrients you require for rapid muscle gains.

For the majority of individuals failing to make the muscle gains they want, the problem and solution lies in their workout routine and not their nutritional intake. They are either not exercising at all or they are doing so in such a “lame-ass” way that they are not producing any muscle growth. The right routine, is one of the critical keys to big muscle gains.

All you really need to worry about is providing your body with a well balanced diet. Then, you can use additional supplements as a secondary support, and only if you choose. Personally, I think you should stick with the milk, because it is an absolutely fool-proof method for gaining muscle size. Even though your selected diet and choice of food types play an important role in your general health, it is actually the amount of food that you consume that has the greatest impact on your muscle gains. Too few calories and you won’t gain. Too many calories and you will just get fat. End of story.
