What have I been reading lately, What I think around twitter and why blogging is the best.
June 23rd, 2009I have been noticing a lot of great new blogs of late. I am still undecided about all the twitter tizzy. I still savour blogs and have over 1000 in my feed reader.
The essence of blogs is that you can find hidden gems, and they are from individuals that actually like to put pen to paper.
Sure you can chance some chill souls on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for masses with add or who dont like to write decent posts. Yes, masses of people twitter and also blog, and those people are stylish by me, but I am incessantly and evermore a blog fan.
Blogs push the author to in reality articluate their sentiment. Twitter on the other hand merely allows you to tell it. Call me old fashioned but I reckon there is a point where smaller is no longer nicer. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Particularly when it comes to technology. Surely there has to be a level where we recognise substance matters. Value matters. What do you think?
Maybe the practical answer dwells in balance. And compromise. You cannot squeeze people to have marrow and not be superficial. But, too maybe you need to drive the navel gazing hippies to lighten up a touch too?
